Egg Drop Soup.

Since it is raining in Moscow today, I decided to make egg drop soup. This soup is good for the cold winter or rainy days. You could drink this soup as an appetizer or you could add shredded cabbage, carrots, bok choy, baby corn and chicken to make a meal.

Ingredients:
4 cups of chicken broth (or 2 cubes of chicken bullion in 4 cups of water)
¼ tsp white pepper
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp garlic powder
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 small green onions chopped
1 ½ tbsp cornstarch
1 large egg
1/4 cup water
Salt to taste

Directions:
1. Prepare all the ingredients.
2. In a small bowl, add 1/4 cup of water and the egg. Whisk the egg using a fork .
3. Also, prepare cornstarch mixture using 5 tablespoons of water and set it aside. DSC_5543-0014. In a large saucepan, boil chicken broth. Add soy sauce, pepper, ginger and garlic powder. DSC_5541-0023. Drizzle in the egg and water mixture little by little while the soup is boiling. Add the cornstarch mixture. Mix well and cook for 1 more minute. Garnish with green onion and enjoy!DSC_5554-001
